Maths tutoring - Past work

In order to give the subject some meaningful context, I believe it would be useful to begin a topic by initial discussing its value. After that I would run through some easy instances. I have to stress that there are no silly questions, anything to help a student's comprehension is important. After I've gone through a couple of cases, I wish to have the student gone through their personal case, speaking with me as if they were the tutor and I was the student.

Many studies have revealed that attempting to describe an idea you have actually a while ago found out assists greatly in remembering and comprehension. If I'm satisfied with their training, I 'd like to test their critical thinking by giving them a problem based upon whatever learned in the lesson, but with subtle changes that require the student to proactively engage with the work, instead of be on "autopilot".

Home task will certainly be established on the material discussed (nothing extra intense), and even more lessons will certainly be carried on responding to exam-styled enquiries prior to carrying on to the next theme.

Throughout sessions I would love to encourage a rather informal, friendly atmosphere. I have a good time teaching, and I wish students have a good time in my training sessions, as well as an unwinded mind is far better at studying.
